Medifast diet is a popular diet plan for weight loss. Like almost any other diet programs, or
anything in life for that matter, it has its pros and cons.
Three things I like about medifast diet
1. Fast weight loss. Medifast claims that you can lose 20 lbs in 30 days. In my opinion, this is very doable. If you take in
only 800 to 1,000 calories per day, as you are on medifast's 5 & 1 plan, you have to lose weight. And you will do so faster
than most other diet plans.
2. Easy to follow. Medifast has laid out your daily meal plan for you. There is no counting calories, carbohydrates or points.
The medifast diet 5 & 1 Plan gives you the right amount of food to keep you satisfied while you lose weight. There is no
thinking or second guessing required on your part.
3. Consistent results. Medifast diet products have been proved safe and effective for weight loss in a few clinical studies. The findings are that most people lose an average of 2-5
lbs per week with Medifast.
The bottom line is you will lose weight quickly if you follow the medifast diet plan.
Two things I don't like about medifast diet
1. Taste of the foods. Some people find the taste of medifast products terrible, while others find them mildly repulsive. To
be honest, these are diet foods, not your everyday fast foods. They are meant to be tasty foods. If you want to lose weight
badly, you need to lower your expectation for taste and adjust yourself to the foods.
2. It is hard in the beginning. Some people find it hardest to follow the medifast plan in the first few days of the program.
This is understandable. Changes in our habits are always hard, no matter what problems we try to tackle. Think about the results
you desire and visualize them happening. Get whatever help you can get when you just start the program. Once you get through the
first few days, it will be a lot easier.
To sum up, medifast diet is the fast and easy way to help you lose weight. But you need to have the discipline to stay with to
achieve the results you want.
